§ 1 Use and Minimum Age
NextRound may only be used in accordance with these Terms of Use and applicable law. Use is permitted for persons aged 16 and over. Optional categories containing adult content may only be actively enabled and used by persons aged 18 and over.
§ 2 Services Offered
NextRound is a party and gaming application with multiplayer lobbies, “Would You Rather” questions, quiz features, an imposter mode, user profiles, an optional friends feature, Community and Friends Leaderboards, feedback and optional premium features.
The friends feature may in particular allow you to add other users using an individual friend code or a provided QR code, as well as display the online or offline status of friends. The specific scope of features may vary depending on the version of NextRound.
Free features may be available without an account. An account may be required for premium features as well as certain account, progress, friends and leaderboard features. NextRound is intended for entertainment. There is no entitlement to specific content, features, a specific rank, placement, XP amount, level display or uninterrupted availability, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.
§ 3 Responsible Use
NextRound may include drinking game elements. Alcohol is not required; drinking tasks are voluntary and can be declined at any time or replaced with non-alcoholic alternatives.
- Consume alcohol responsibly only.
- Never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Respect the boundaries of other people.
- Do not pressure anyone into participating or consuming.
- Stop using NextRound if anyone feels uncomfortable.
§ 4 User Behaviour
NextRound must not be used in an abusive manner. In particular, the following are prohibited:
- Insults, harassment or threats
- Hate speech, discrimination or racist content
- Extremist, violence-glorifying or criminal content
- Spam, advertising or commercial use without consent
- Manipulation, disruption or overloading of NextRound
- Attempts to bypass security mechanisms
- Manipulation of XP, levels, game statistics or leaderboard placements
- Misuse, automated use or unauthorised use of friend codes, QR codes, friendship or status features
- Impersonation of other persons or unauthorised use of other users' accounts
- Use for unlawful purposes
In the event of violations, we may remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts or permanently exclude users where this is necessary and proportionate.
§ 5 User Content and Feedback
You are responsible for any content and feedback you submit. You must not submit content that infringes the rights of third parties or is unlawful.
By submitting feedback, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use the feedback for review, bug fixing and improving NextRound. There is no entitlement to implementation.
§ 6 Multiplayer Lobbies
When you create or join a lobby, the data required for that game round is processed. You are responsible for deciding which lobbies you join and whom you invite. We are not responsible for the behaviour of other players.
§ 7 Friends Feature and Leaderboards
NextRound may offer an optional friends feature. Users can add other users using an individual friend code or by scanning a QR code provided by them. Share your friend code or QR code only with persons with whom you want to connect.
As part of an existing friendship, friends may see each other's player name, online or offline status, XP, level and placement in the Friends Leaderboard. You can end or remove a friendship at any time in the profile section. After a friendship ends, that person will no longer have access to your status or your display in the Friends Leaderboard.
NextRound may also provide a Community Leaderboard. Your player name, XP and level may be displayed there to other NextRound users if you have enabled participation in your profile settings. Participation is voluntary and can be disabled at any time in your profile settings.
There is no entitlement to a specific placement, XP amount, level display, visibility or permanent availability of a leaderboard. We may adapt, restrict or temporarily deactivate leaderboards, rankings, XP systems or level systems for technical, legal, security-related or game-balancing reasons, provided this is reasonable for users and mandatory law does not conflict with such changes.
In particular, manipulation of XP, levels or leaderboard placements, automated or abusive use of friend codes or QR codes, impersonation of other persons and attempts to access, modify or disclose status, friendship or leaderboard data without authorisation are prohibited.
§ 8 Premium Features
NextRound may offer optional premium features and subscriptions. The content, price, term and scope of services are specified in the respective offer before purchase.
Website subscriptions are processed through Stripe. Android subscriptions are processed through Google Play Billing. Google’s terms also apply to these subscriptions. Further information on prices, cancellation and withdrawal can be found in our Terms and Conditions.
§ 9 Availability and Changes
We strive to operate NextRound securely and with minimal disruption. Maintenance, security measures, technical issues or further development may temporarily lead to limitations.
Features, game modes, categories or content may be changed, supplemented, limited or removed for technical, economic, legal or safety-related reasons, provided this is reasonable for users and mandatory law does not conflict with such changes.
§ 10 Intellectual Property
The content of NextRound, in particular texts, questions in their specific form, designs, graphics, logos and software components, is protected by copyright or other rights. It may only be used for private, intended use within NextRound. Any further use requires our prior consent, unless such use is permitted by law.

§ 12 Changes to These Terms
We may amend these Terms of Use where there is a valid legal, technical, organisational, security-related or economic reason for doing so and the amendment is reasonable for you.
We will provide clear and timely information about material changes. Statutory rights, including rights relating to material adverse changes to digital content or digital services, remain unaffected.
